Customer Recomendation ;

  • Carolina Kustoms has the Midas touch!  When our big beautiful 1940 Buick had a disastrous engine fire, the insurance company came close to totaling it.  But Lonnie and his crew were able to bring our beloved hot rod back to life within the insurance settlement budget. They were a pleasure to work with, and fine-tuned and spiffed up a number of features.  They also gave our baby a brand new look.  We went from sassy to classy, changing the brash bright yellow exterior to a regal metallic gold.  Thanks a million, Lonnie!

 • My truck isn't quite done, it is in the finishing stages now and is looking great. I can also tell you that if I were to ever have a problem with anything Lonnie had done (I can't imagine this though), I know that he would just handle it. He is a stand-up, honest guy, & one of those people who will do the right thing when necessary.

I highly recommend this company, Carolina Kustoms. When we recover from this project, you had better believe that I will be taking my next project only to Lonnie and his crew. These are the guys for us. I'm going to miss seeing them so often once my project is done.

Sincerely

Min Singleton

  • Dear Lonnie :

I want to thank you and your team for all the hard work you guys did on my 65 impala. The wiring looks great and it runs and drives better than it ever has. I have been to a lot of shops and you guys are really up front on everything you do and it was done when you said it was going to be that is a big plus for me. Again I want to say thank you and keep up the good work.

  •  Automotive restoration and excellence in customer service does exist!

    Until my recent experience with Carolina Kustoms, I have dealt with people in the automotive restoration industry that did not share my same passion for classic cars. Most I have dealt with either lacked the enthusiasm, attitude, or knowledge of automotive restoration and communication has been poor to say the least. Lonnie and his crew has been nothing but proactive with communication! For once I am getting calls from the shop giving me up to date information on areas of concern of my vehicle or just to let me know the progress and not having to call them and ask. This goes to great lengths with me and is much appreciated.

    As most know, automotive restoration can be time consuming, frustrating and expensive. Carolina Kustoms has also been excellent in working within my budget. Other shops I have dealt with have "run up the bill" without consulting me. Lonnie has been very conscious of this and has worked tirelessly within my time frame and budget.  All of my future projects will be going to Carolina Kustoms. For anyone looking for good, honest, hardworking true automotive enthusiasts, I would recommend Carolina Kustoms. -Jason Boylan

  •  I have been taking cars to Lonnie for well over a year now. I have spent a substantial amount of money with Carolina Kustoms. I am on my second and third restorations with Lonnie. The first was a 1979 Pontiac firebird for my daughter. He not only did a good job, but did it within my deadline, as I wanted it restored for her birthday. The Pontiac has won numerous awards over the last summer. In also restored a 1982 Toyota Corolla for my brother. Again, outstanding work. Lonnie is currently restoring 2 cars with another waiting. I would not hesitate to send people to Lonnie. I also use them for regular vehicle maintenance. They do great stereo wiring and installation. If you attempted to do your own restoration and either messed it up, or ran out of time, take it to Lonnie. They will get the job done.

  •   Lonnie did a great job with my 1962 Chevy truck. Body and mechanical work was done with quality parts, great advice and always with consideration of the cost. As difficult as some of the repairs were, Lonnie kept a good attitude and always took the time to explain all the options. Great shop. Todd

  •  Carolina Kustoms is a hidden gem. The work that Lonnie did on my car was professional, comprehensive and he did not cut a single corner. He was honest and upfront on what was best for my 62 Buick Wildcat. He keeps his overhead low to give his customers the best price, and was able to do everything needed to restore my classic. He went the extra mile to make sure I was 100% satisfied. My 45 year old Buick looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor, (better actually). Can't wait to go cruise. As a professional and small business owner, I highly recommend Carolina Kustoms for those who want one on one service, and to not deal with over priced shops. This guy knows what he is doing, and I have found a mechanic I can trust. Thanks Carolina Kustoms!!! Matt.

  •  If your looking for the best, you found it at Carolina Kustoms. I had Lonnie work on my 1980 Trans Am, and he did a fabulous job at a reasonable price. I will continue to use Lonnie in the future to do all my auto restoration, as you should too. I highly recommend Lonnie at Carolina Kustoms.

  • Lonnie does excellent work at a very competitive price. He did more than was asked for when it came to rewiring my 1971 240Z which has a small block chevy 350. He was able to research difficult wiring conversions and changed out my alternator and starter for no additional labor . I recommend Carolina Kustoms  to anyone who needs automotive or restoration work.
